Duvet Covers

This week the design expression is duvet cover! A question that I often ask my client's is, "What type of bedding would you like for the master bedroom?" "Would you like a coverlet, quilt, or comforter with a duvet cover?" Often times a get a raised eyebrow and my client asks, "What is a duvet cover?"A duvet cover is like a giant pillow case for your comforter. It can be made of any fabric such as cotton, polyester or silk. The duvet cover can be closed with buttons, ties or a zipper. You can use a heavy comforter in the winter and a light weight comforter in the summer and keep the same look on your bed. Or, if you like variety, you can keep the same comforter and switch the duvet cover with the seasons.If you have pets, like I do, the duvet cover is quite practical. You can easily remove the duvet and wash it in your machine at home. That's what I'm talking about!So, what do you have on your bed?
