Minnie Mouse Nursery-Faith's Room
It's time for the big reveal of Faith's Minnie Mouse nursery and I am so excited!Take a look at the before photos here. The room was used as a guest room and now it is all dolled up for Faith. I used little blue, a little gold and lots of pink for this baby girl's nursery!I started with the comforter that was a baby shower gift as the inspiration for the room. Then I selected the drapery fabric. After the fabric came the wall color and the wall pattern. Guess how I created the pattern for the walls? Well, I had the idea of an hourglass design and after a few weeks I looked down at the rug in my living room and it had the perfect design! I traced the shape onto paper (the paper from HomeGoods that they use to wrap fragile items, to be exact) and rolled it up and took it with me to VA! It took me two days to trace the pattern on the walls and paint the design. It was worth it!A pretty, sparkly light fixture replaced the ceiling fan.A sweet spot for rocking. Instead of a traditional mobile we hung lots of mum balls! We started with five and that just wasn't enough. The Minnie Mouse head is a custom piece that we hacked from a plain round shelf from Hobby Lobby. A vintage milk glass lamp found on Amazon with a gold and magenta lamp shade and a princess piggy bank! The closet doors were painted the same color as the walls.I painted the Bible verse which is a favorite of Faith's mommy.Last but not least, the sweet girl who loves her Minnie Mouse nursery.Photo credit: Jacqueline Binkley Photography
