Rustic Beach Chic Living Room
I am so excited to share the living room in the rustic, beach chic home. My client wanted the essence of Hawaii with a pinch of rustic and bold cobalt, emerald and teal colors. We created a comfortable, casual, and happy feeling throughout the home. You can't help but smile when you walk in. The living room was designed around the large photograph by Peter Lik. My client has had this photo for a little while and it is very sentimental. I selected a lot of beautiful, natural, unfinished wood for the console table, floor lamps and curtain rod. There is also a lot of texture with the burlap shades and fabrics.I LOVE before and after photos, don't you? Well, here are the photos of the living room! You can see from the first photo that this room was intended to be a dining room. My client did't need a formal dining room so the space became a living room. These little drink tables have iron bases and marble tops. They add more texture and a place to set drinks, snacks or a book! Since the rug and chairs have a busy pattern and the photo is so special; I opted for simple ivory linen drapes with a Greek key trim tape.Isn't the chandelier perfect? Lots of whitewashed wooden beads hang around this fixture which is just right for a rustic, beach chic room! This is the perfect living room for propping up your feet and reading a good book or sharing a drink with a friend! Here is a close-up shot of the pretty little plants and decor. My favorite thing is the vintage glass float but I do have an affinity for succulents!I like to create livable rooms for my clients. Every room should be functional and delightful!Aloha,HollyPhoto credit: Twin Shoot PhotographyInterior design services for Allen, Plano, McKinney, Frisco, and surrounding areas.
