Hand Painted Tiles

There are so many beautiful tiles available for the kitchen and bathroom. I am amazed by the detail and craftsmanship by the hand painted and handmade tiles. With many of the companies you can select your own colors to be made just for you! How great is that? You can also select a variety of pencils, chair rail, and liners to frame and finish your design. Pencils, chair rail, and liners are the long pieces of tile that separate tiles and finish off the edges.Take a look at the combinations of tile below. There are layers of color and glaze. The color is inconsistent between tiles which I love because each tile is unique. So charming! Notice the grout colors in these samples. The grout color will have a huge impact in the overall look and feel of the tile. These samples here are from Renaissance Tile in Dallas.  The tile samples below are from Walker Zanger. Take a look at the edges of the tile. They are irregular. If you want tile with character, these tiles are perfect. Also trending are tiles with a crackle glaze (lower right corner). Take a look at the combination of tiles and liners used in the mock bathroom below (upper left corner). There are so many beautiful options!I hope you feel inspired!
