Baby Girl Nursery Ideas-Faith's Room Part 3
I am excited to share my inspiration for the window treatments for this baby girl's nursery! Sweet Faith is the adopted child of my friend, Annette. You can read more about her story here. After Annette learned that she would not have children of her own, she and her husband began to take care of children through the foster system. They took care of several young children and one in particular made an impression. Annette had hoped to adopt her and was actually asked if she would be her forever mom by a case worker but eventually, the little girl was adopted by a family member. Annette and her husband were crushed, but through faith in God and His plan, they recovered and moved on.You can see why this nursery design project is so important to me and that it turns out just right. So, for this special nursery, we need special window treatments. Drapes and a cornice board are the ticket!Do you remember the inspiration piece for this nursery? The Minnie Mouse bedding was the inspiration and you can read more about that here.I ordered several memos (fabric samples) and found a fabric that I loved but the colors were not perfect so I went back to the drawing board and ordered several more memos before I found THE perfect fabric. The colors, pattern and style are fabulous. This fabric is whimsical. elegant, feminine and sweet for baby girl's nursery! Here is the winning fabric. Here are some of the fabrics that I considered. At first I thought a bold pattern on magenta would be fun. I had to use magenta so I selected a magenta velvet for the cornice board which will go above the drapes.Next week I will be sharing the lighting selections for this baby girl's nursery so come back for the details!XOHolly
