My New Design Studio

Howdy Friends! My husband works out of the house now so that means I have my own space, AKA my design studio! It is small but just right. Join me as I go through the process of changing everything in the studio. In the past I have worked from the living room, master bedroom or dining room with my laptop. I didn't have a desk so the first purchase I made was, you guessed it, a desk. Size matters and I did not want a big, bulky desk or a puny little desk. I purchased this desk because it is moderately scaled plus there are shelves that pull out on each side for additional space. I also love the metallic cabriole legs and simple white top. It satisfies my traditional and funky aesthetic all at once!caracole deskThen I had to paint the room of course.I auditioned six gray colors and Worldly Gray by Sherwin Williams won! I understand what my clients go through when we change paint colors. Going from a very warm color to a cool color was a bit unnerving even though I knew I wanted gray walls. My brain said, "Wait, this doesn't feel right!" but I knew after a couple of days I would be happy and I am. I like the change and the cooler color feels more expansive and light.office paintIMG_6398Next you will see a bit of the chandelier! It's very fun! Stay tuned and stay inspired!Holly
