Mix Your Metals

The merriment is in the mix, so mix the metals in your home.This weeks blog post is about metallic finishes...hardware, light fixtures, accessories, and picture frames. Name an item and you can find it in a few dozen different finishes.Think of them as colors. For example, gold is yellow and chrome is gray. Gray is a cool color and yellow is a warm color and it's great to use both for balance. There really aren't any rules any more about matching metals.The images below are of my home office. I had so much fun with this space! I mixed it all up!Check out these metals:

  • Champagne metal desk legs (aren't those legs pretty?!)

  • Gold accessories
