Dallas Family Room Remodel

This Dallas family wanted a family room that was light, bright, colorful, and family-friendly. The previous family room did not match their style, so they reached out to us to create the perfect space. Pictured below are the before and after images of this beautiful and functional room! The new family room includes new features such as:

  • A renovated fireplace surround with extended hearth: Marble surrounding the fireplace and at the wet bar-adds a level of luxury and fosters cohesiveness in the room

  • A refinished parquet wood flooring

  • Painting all of the millwork with Sherwin-Williams’ Alabaster paint

  • New recessed lights and recessed speakers

  • New gas logs

  • Stationary drapes on each window which add add color and softness

  • A deep-seated sectional with down cushions per the husband’s request

  • A chaise lounge per the wife’s request

  • Enough seating for their family of four, plus more room for family gatherings and Bible studies

  • A table lamp and a floor lamp for task lighting

  • Plenty of CoLoR

Painting the millwork (doors, paneling, and book shelves) a light color, Alabaster by Sherwin-Williams, instantly brightened the room. When combined with the natural light shining through the windows, the light millwork also allows the room to appear larger. The artwork and the furniture provide a sense of unity within the room, as the paintings contain the same primary colors that the furniture and pillows have. Everything in this room works together perfectly to provide a sense of togetherness, colorfulness, uniqueness, and happiness!
