Baby Girl Nursery Ideas-Faith's Room

This interior design project is near and dear to my heart for many reasons. First, the sweet mommy of baby Faith is my best friend, Annette. Secondly, Faith is a precious child whom Annette has waited a very long time for. She and her husband are adopting Faith after waiting many years for a child. I have three children of my own, one who is adopted and two who are biological. My friend and I share the beauty and joy of adoption. What we don't share is the struggle through early menopause and the loss of one foster daughter in particular and another baby girl who was promised to Annette and her husband before Faith was born.My friend has given me permission to tell her story and to share her hope and faith as we go through the design process for her baby girl's nursery. I will share her amazing story and share the photos of my interior design process with you! Here is the room that we will transform into the perfect, girly, sophisticated nursery!bedroomBedroomBedroomBedroomAnnette requested a design that is not too childish so that Faith will enjoy her room past infancy and toddlerhood. I can do that! The inspiration begins with Minnie Mouse bedding from Babies R Us. This was a gift from a friend and this bedding will set the color palette for the room. Bedding is easy to replace as a baby girl grows; much easier than repainting a room and less expensive than replacing custom drapes and window treatments! So, we will work with the colors and bring in some youthful but sophisticated fabrics and elements.Minnie Mouse BeddingBlue, pink and green with a touch of magenta for energy will be used along with white and my signature gold. A little bit of gold, antique bronze, matte brass and champagne add a sophisticated flair to a room. So stay tuned to see how I will incorporate all of these colors in baby Faith's nursery!
